Mapei at Marmomac 2019

Mapei is once again renewing their participation at Marmomac (the International Trade Fair for Stone Design and Technology), to be held in Verona from 25th September to 28th September 2019, proposing the best solutions and systems for installing stone and creating architectural paving (Hall 7, Stand E2).

During the trade fair Mapei, with the patronage of UNI, will be presenting the new UNI 11714 standard covering the design and installation of contemporary architectural paving compliant with the aforementioned standard.

From Mapei: the most advanced and durable solutions

Enhancing the beauty of stone and its unique characteristics, and using stone in public and private contexts, are the objectives Mapei has in mind when proposing its extensive range of integrated solutions that guarantee durability and sound installation.

Thanks to the versatility of Mapei products, they are suitable for both new installations and in renovation work on existing paving and coverings. They respond to a wide range of installers’ needs and offer sound results, guaranteed by their classification in line with the most stringent norms and standards covering this sector.

The solutions presented include the high-performance, cementitious adhesives certified as GEV EMICODE EC 1PLUS KERAFLEX MAXI S1 (ready-mixed adhesive with Low Dust technology), KERAQUICK MAXI S1 (ready-mixed adhesive with Fast Track Ready technology) and GRANIRAPID (two-component, rapid-set and hydrating adhesive).

The grouting products proposed include ULTRACOLOR PLUS water-repellent cementitious mortar with DropEffect® technology and BioBlock® technology against the proliferation of mould.

And to seal joints, MAPESIL LM neutral silicone sealant specific for stone.

Mapei solutions for long lasting and sustainable architectural paving: urban design compliant with current standards

Mapei are always up to date with the latest developments in new norms and standards covering the installation of materials, and at Marmomac will be presenting their own systems compliant with UNI 11714 standards: MAPESTONE SYSTEM (cement-based system) and MAPESTONE JOINT (pervious and elastic system) for installing architectural stone paving and MAPEI COLOR PAVING for installing architectural concrete paving with an exposed-aggregate finish.

Aside the existing solutions for the grouting of architectural stone pavings (MAPESTONE PFS 2 NEUTRAL and MAPESTONE PFS 2 DARK GREY), Mapei are proposing a new product in a subtle, new shade for light stones: MAPESTONE PFS 2 WHITE.

Like the other products of the MAPESTONE Line, MAPESTONE PFS 2 WHITE is available in the VISCO version, too, and is also used for sealing setts, smolleri, pebbles, slabs, blocks and prefabricated elements in exposure classes XF4 and XS3.

On Friday, 27^th September, an interactive convention entitled “Modern architectural paving compliant with current standards. A story that comes from the future” will be held in Sala Rossini, starting at 9:30 am.

The convention, organized in collaboration with Italporphyry and AIAPP, awards 4 CFP credits to attendees subscribed to regional Orders of Architects.
